Tanya Dziahileva (in) After Giorgio Armani FW 12.13
It was sweet to see the gracious Tanya return to the runway this season!
Tanya is quite an icon in her own rights in the high fashion world for those who have been following fashion in the last decade. She made her runway debut at age 14 in October 2005 closing the Prada SS 2006 show.
Although she has been absent from many of the runways in the past few seasons, Tanya is one of those lucky models who has a strong and loyal following of online fans, who adoringly remind me now and again to try to spot Tanya whenever I can. Known for her unique looks and vibrant personality, I actually first learned about Tanya through the words of fellow photographers in the streets and in the media pit at the end of the runway. Throughout the years, Tanya has remained on so many of the fashion week veteran photographers’ top list! And I definitely can understand why… In fact, while shooting in the media pit at Givenchy SS 2012, when the show organizer told catwalk photographers that Gisele Bundchen was walking, someone yelled and asked from the pit if Tanya would also make an appearance. I kid you not! =)
